Long Island is my home, and to have been selected to provide a quote on the national Record Store Day website was a complete honor. I look forward to meeting my hometown fans and celebrating local retailers during Record Store Day on Long Island!"
Says Catherine Laporte, "Recording artists such as Peter Gabriel, Elton John, Metallica, Alecia Keys, amberRose Marie and others will be supporting indie retailers across the country, and we wanted to do something unique on Long Island and that is bringing the party to both Suffolk and Nassau counties." Laporte adds, "Certainly online sites such as itunes.com, perfectbeat.com where our title was a Top 5 seller last week, masterbeat.com and CDbaby.com have been great friends of indie indie's such as ours, but it's the indie retailers who still have that human interaction that is necessary so that fans can meet the artists they love, and artists can meet music lovers up-close and personal. We are thrilled that 106.1 BLI and Party 105 will join us and we encourage everyone to stop into one of these stores and shop, shop, shop! What's more, the public is in for quite a treat in amberRose Marie!"
