Download Music Legally with Rhapsody

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 3, 2008 -- Didiom, an award-winning mobile media service provider, today announced the beta launch of the first mobile application to integrate a mobile music placeshifting service and a pay-per-download, full-track service that offers over 1 million MP3 songs. The free, all-in-one Didiom application allows music fans to wirelessly access their home computer's iTunes® library from over two hundred mobile devices, including BlackBerry® and Windows Mobile® phones. The beta period will give users an opportunity to test the service and to provide valuable feedback, which will help shape Didiom's over-the-air service and new user interface.
Didiom also announced that it has signed licensing deals with CD Baby (the world's largest online retailer of independent music), Naxos (the world's leading producer of classical music), Saavn (the world's largest digital distributor of South Asian content) and a growing lineup of independent music partners, including Phonofile, Bonzai Music, Soul Seduction, eClassical, Xpressbeats, Reggae Country, MisRolas, EmuBands, Armenian Music Center, Quarterlife Records and Resonant Vibes. These licensing deals mark a major milestone in Didiom's mission of bringing a comprehensive selection of music to today's generation of wireless consumers.
"We've developed a simple and fun way to mobilize music and to discover new music from around the world while on the go," said Ran Assaf, Didiom's founder and CEO. "More and more music fans are tired of wasting valuable time sideloading music from their computer to their phone or iPod. We provide them with a new type of experience that lets them not only stream music from their computer to their handset over the air, but also to discover, bid for and share music in new and exciting ways."
Starting today, Didiom offers two free downloadable applications at www.didiom.com: a handset application that allows users to simultaneously access the Didiom Marketplace and their PC-based music library, and a desktop application that allows users to stream music directly to their phone. With over 1 million MP3 songs, the Didiom Marketplace allows users to shop for music directly from their phone without having to sideload through their PC. In addition, users can name their own price and download to their mobile, to their PC, or to both. The mobile download will be available to their phone, and the PC download will be available online. Most songs are between $0.89 (single download) and $1.39 (dual download). Most albums are between $9.99 (single download) and $12.99 (dual download). Users will need to set up a Didiom account, but they do not need to provide their credit card information. When they are ready to make purchases, they pay per download or prepay and receive a cash bonus.
