Naples, FL (Billboard Publicity Wire) December 7, 2006 -- QRS Music Technologies, Inc. (OTCB:QRSM), a leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of pianos, piano-based audio and multimedia products, music and piano accessories, today announced its new Story & Clark Power Center Program, designed to maximize sales with key dealers throughout the United States. The Story & Clark Power Center Program focuses on sell-through by creating a unique environment and total shopping experience designed to stimulate and engage customers.
The Power Centers help customers envision the full experience of owning a Pianomation® system by demonstrating how it can be integrated with all the other elements of their entertainment system. "Our patent-pending Qsync™ and SyncAlong™ capabilities have a huge 'wow' factor," said Ken Clark, Director of Sales. "Watching and listening to artists like Frank Sinatra or Diana Krall in concert while the piano plays along stops people in their tracks."
"With the Power Center, customers immediately grasp the added value Pianomation® brings to owning a piano. The Center not only sells Pianomation®, it helps sell pianos, too," said Bob Rosenthal, owner of The Piano Gallery in Dallas, Texas. "We keep a concert DVD on and playing and it's the first thing customers gravitate to when they enter our store."
Along with a Story & Clark grand piano equipped with Pianomation® and Qsync™, the Power Centers include a large format, 42" plasma screen T.V., surround-sound stereo equipment, impactful merchandising aids including a series of posters and a CD software display, all in a living room setting that typically includes a couch and several comfortable chairs, creating a realistic home environment. Qsync™, which adds DVD SyncAlong capabilities to a Pianomation system, is currently being demonstrated exclusively through Story & Clark Power Center dealer showrooms. The consumer version of Qsync™ is expected to be available in early 2007.
With the Story & Clark Dealer Power Centers, QRS is advocating experiential retailing, a concept that is successfully used by retailers across a variety of industries. "Today's most successful retailers recognize that consumers view shopping as a form of entertainment and they expect the act of shopping to be as rewarding as actually owning the product," said Tom Dolan, President and C.E.O. of QRS. "A grand piano is a luxury item and a big investment. Customers feel better about purchasing a piano from a dealer where the buying experience matches their perception of the product itself."
